Snowflake and Holly, The Winter Fairies

So, we’re on the run up to Christmas and the Winter Fairies are very excited about it!  They are both hoping to find new Christmas Trees to live in this winter, preferably in a warm and cosy home.  If you’d like Snowflake or Holly to come and live with you this festive season you can find their crochet patterns over on our website.

Holly’s Fairy wings

They are simple to make from just a few oddments of double knitting yarn.

Holly has a dress of holly leaves and berries whilst Snowflake has, well yes, you’ve already guessed, a snowflake dress.  Maybe you can come up with your own festive fairy.  Please be sure to share a photo over on our Facebook page!

Party on Girls!

‘Tis the season for partying so Anna-May and Elsa-Beth have cast aside their winter woollies in favour of party dresses, new shoes, bags and of course a wrap so they don’t get completely frozen!

This knitting pattern is available FREE throughout December 2016 when you purchase the knitting pattern for the dolls,  “Here Come the Girls” (£1.99) and will be added to your basket automatically, so, get those needles flying and have some fun!  Don’t forget to share photos of Anna-May and Elsa-Beth over on our Facebook page.

The “Here Come the Girls” doll pattern contains instructions for the basic dolls along with patterns for the jumpers, boots, coats and trousers. Oh, and just to make sure they are respectable when they go out, some underwear!

Both the “Here Come the Girls” and the “Party on Girls” patterns use oddments of Double knitting yarn and 3mm & 3.75mm knitting needles.

Thomas B Ramsden and the Advent Christmas Tree Crochet Along CAL

I spent a slightly surreal July in a very hot conservatory crocheting Christmas Decorations!  Why would you do that I hear you ask?!  I was actually working on a design for a company local to me (Thomas B Ramsden).  They wanted to create a crochet along (CAL), their first ever, and this one has a very seasonal flavour, a Christmas Tree complete with Angels, Gifts, Holly, Crackers, Snowflakes, Bells, Snowmen and Candy Canes!

I’m pleased to say that they have now started the FREE pattern releases so that you can join in the fun!  Here is the link for you: Christmas Tree CAL

Campervan Bauble “Dub Ball” Free Knitting Pattern!

This PDF knitting pattern is to make a Campervan Bauble Christmas tree decoration.  Mine was about the size of a tennis ball and made from scraps of double knitting yarn (DK) on two 3mm (UK11) knitting needles. You can of course knit in the round on double pointed needles (DPN) it’s just that I knit with one needle under my arm and really struggle to get my tension right if I can’t do that! Sad I know!

Anyone fancy knitting a Campervan Christmas Jumper?

Hot off the press just in time for you to knit up as Christmas present for your favourite Campervan enthusiast! (or you could keep it yourself).

This pattern is for a snuggly hooded jumper made in lovely soft chunky yarn.  It has extra long cuffs with a thumbhole to keep your hands toasty, a double thickness collar to stop the drafts and a hood to keep your ears warm. Perfect for slouching!

It’s a unisex design and goes from a 32″ up to a 44″ chest.  It’s not a baggy jumper so if you like a looser fit, go up a size.

The pattern is available as a PDF document via our online shop for a price of £1.99

Stay snug!
