PDF Knitting Pattern for the Slightly Sheepish Hooded Neck Warmer

£2.50

Release your inner child and stay warm with this snuggly hooded neck warmer with ears!  You don’t have to add the ears but where’s the fun in that?!  If you are going with the ears there are two size options and you can have fun “designing” your hood.  What colour will you choose? Will you have sticky up ears or floppy ears, maybe even one of each!

The Hood is made in Super Chunky yarn on 9mm knitting needles (US 13/UK 00) so it knits up really quickly.

The Neck Warmer and the edges of the Hood are in Bramble Stitch which is a simple pattern to follow and the main area of the hood is reverse stocking stitch.

It took 350g of super chunky yarn.  I used Wendy Serenity Super Chunky.  If you use an alternative make sure there is enough length of yarn as meterage can vary considerably.  I used 280 metres of cream. You can opt for contrasting inner ears.

Everything was knitted on one pair of straight 9mm needles.  The Hood and Neck Warmer are made in two sections and stitched together afterwards.

The finished size is approximately 52cm/20.5″ tall and 29cm/11.5″ wide based on a tension of 10 stitches and 14 rows to 10cm/4″ square.
